Englewood, Florida, has been called the gem of the sun coast, a bit of heaven on earth.

A place un-spoilt by high rises and high prices and yet remains one of Florida’s best-kept secrets. A secret that more and more tourists are learning.

Englewood is a community of communities setting comfortably on an area straddling two counties, harboured by several small islands and magnificent beaches in a tropical setting. Located on the beautiful Lemon bay off the Gulf coast of Mexico, Englewood is just 85 miles south of metropolitan Tampa bay, 90 miles north of Naples, 50 miles north of fort Meyers and only 35 miles south of Sarasota. Englewood is easily accessible from US route 41 and Interstate 75.

The Rotonda at Englewood is a perfect circle divided up by its supporting infrastructure in to eight equal parts. Seven of these segments are given to residential development of high-class homes, both locally owned and vacation homes. The eighth segment is a nature reserve. Rotonda is interspersed by lakes canals, golf courses and green belt areas giving a balance and harmony with nature.

The Long Marsh Golf Course, one of seven within a five-mile radius of the Rotonda, is a 7120-yard from the gold tees, challenge to golfers of all standards. Many of the villas have views at the rear over the golf course.

Rotonda is a tremendous vantage point from which several different types of holiday can be experienced, perhaps a second leg of a two-centre trip or a perfect base from which to experience of other elements of a holiday in Florida.
